A Tribute to 1512

Thinking back on all we did at our old house astonishes me. And makes me happy. We genuinely loved that house and it changed dramatically under our ownership/style influence/destruction. Here are some pics taken right when we moved in to the house in 2005:

The hallway from front door to the kitchen (yes there was a hallway there)
...and that's me preggo with Macy :)

One of my fave pics ever. Jon and my dad scraping and then texturing the popcorn ceilings.
Masks and old suits, with broom that can double as an air guitar, duh.

The view when you walked in the front door

The view of the family room

My pregnant self with two of the hardest working helpers a girl could ask for.
Thankfully Macy did not suffer birth defects even with the amount of paint fumes I exposed us to.

6 years and a lot of change later: knocked down walls, changed flooring, painted every.single.wall (many of them twice), completely changed front and back yards... This is how it looked before we moved out:

Custom mantle made by Jon and his dad as a gift to me:

I can't even explain adequately the amount of hard work Jon put in to our front yard. He cut and placed every paver you see here, and with the help of his awesome family and friends transformed our front yard to this:

And made our backyard into a retreat for me and the kids.

I hope that the new owners love and enjoy the house as much as we did!

I understand your hesitation to admit it publicly, but didn't you want a meat locker like you had at the Auburn house? :)
